For 2022, we will be offering CSA chicken pickups from the week of June 13 through the week of October 17, twenty weeks in total. You are welcome to pick up as much or as little of your share at any CSA pickup location or farmers market we attend each week.
$600 Full share, 100lbs/$6lb whole chickens (approx. 22 #4.5 chickens)
$300 Half share 50lbs/$6lb whole chickens (approx. 11 #4.5 chickens)
Your share can be used for both whole chickens and chicken parts.
We will be offering CSA pickups at Natural Roots in Conway and Mockingbird Farm in Easthampton. Underline Farm will be attending the Tuesday Northampton Farmers' Market, the Sunday Easthampton Farmers' Market and (fingers crossed Leche can manage the logistics) the Saturday morning Farmers' Market in Amherst. It looks like Underline Farm chicken is crossing the Connecticut River!
All that availability! It’s never been easier to get your Underline Farm CSA share and enjoy the best chicken available anywhere. Your support pays for all the upfront costs, from purchasing feed at the Greenfield Co-op Farmers Exchange to paying Reed Farm in Sunderland to process the birds. CSA shares cover the cost of everything that needs paying before the first chicken is ready to eat; your share is pivotal in making each season a success.
We have not raised our prices in 4 years and we even lowered them for smaller shares last year. Sadly, the costs of production are rising and our prices have to follow. That said, I do not want to price anyone out. If you would like to feed yourself and your family Underline Farm chicken but find the costs prohibitive, please reach out and we will find a way to make it work for both you and the farm. In the same vein, if you find yourself with the means and would like to help make Underline Farm shares more affordable for others, please add any amount to your share for the community and/or reach out and we can talk about options.
